Thomas Lee

Thomas Lee is a native of Southestern Malaysia. His Chinese parents inspired him to do the best in school and work hard to reach his goal in life.From the young age, his interest in martial art grew.By the age of 24, he had earned his 1st Dan, Black Belt in Malaysia Tae-kwando. Lee's interest in the martial arts continued to grow and he decide to explore traditional Chinese Martial Art.However, Chinese Kung-Fu was impossible to find in Sabah. In 2015, at 39 years of age, Lee found a chance to learn Wing Chun Kung-Fu. The Wing Chun System had become an international Kung-Fu system with Large following in Europe, North America, Australia and many other area around the world. With his new found interest, Lee contacted one of the world's largest Wing Chun groups, the IP Ching lineage federation. By late 2014, Lee started to received personalized instruction under master Mark Bearsell, headquatered in the United Kingdom. Master Mark Beardsell was certified under grandmaster Samuel Kwok. In 2018, Lee earned his Instructor's Level 4 Certificate. In 2017, Lee sifu dream come true and he opened his first school, the "Sabah IPman Wing Chun" school in Sutera Harbour, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah . In early 2019, Lee Sifu, by coincidence discovered a named John F Di Virgilio, Living in Kota Kinabalu sabah. To lee's Suprise, the friendly gentlemen, had 46 years of wing chun experience and was the former President of The Hawaii Wing Chun Fung-Fu Association for 19 years. Sifu Lee , now had another avenue to expand his Knowledge and polish his skills. Master Di Virgilio came from the IPman to Wong Long Ching Lineage, and provide further insight into the wing chun's theories and physical methods.Lee Sifu also earn another Certify Wing Chun Instructor level 1(Private Student) under Master John DiVirgilio. Today, Lee sifu teaches openly to the public. His Chinese martial arts teaching cultivates positive growth aspect in people. His scope of teaching covers short term individual and professional development workshops as well as a long term new instructor program.
