Sifu Ray Ginochio was born on October 13, 1966 and was one of a pair of twin boys. Around the early 90's he ran into a friend from high school, Tom Mullen, who was training in Gracie Jiu Jitsu. When Mullen left to train in the Wing Chun system under the tutelege of Sifu Dave Mitchell, a student of Grandmaster Chris Chan, Ginochio soon followed.
Ginochio trained with Sifu Dave for about five and a half years in Wing Chun, as well as Arnis & Jiu Jitsu for fun. There he learned the complete Chris Chan style of Wing Chun, except the weapons forms. He remained a student until Sifu Dave closed his school in 2002.
Ginochio was then introduced to Sifu Barber Bill Hernan by Steve, a fellow classmate from Sifu Dave's school. While training with Barber Bill, Ginochio earned Sifu status and became one of Barber Bill's favorite/best students in the Stanley Chan style of Wing Chun. Again he mastered the complete system, except for the weapons forms, which were not taught.
Sifu Ginochio was a co-instructor of his friend, Sifu Lee's Wing -Dot's, Wing Chun class from September 2004 - 2005.
Sadly, Sifu Ginochio passed away in September 2009 at the age of 42.
