Mauro Gibin

Sifu Mauro was born in 1981 and started practicing Kung Fu relatively late age of 19 years (in 2000) in Fedarazione EBMAS (Emin Boztepe Martial Art System), the school of the famous Master of Turkish Emin Boztepe.
In those years his training with the participation in numerous stage Emin, even with the attendance of the course in small group training instructors.

During the militancy in EBMAS, Sifu Mauro worked with leading exponents of the Italian Federation as a private pupil: Maximum Giammarinaro Sifu, Sifu David larynges, Sifu Rosario Alessio Morelli and Damian Sihing Sihing Andrea Vismara.

And 'at that period, thanks to the Master Rene Latosa also began the practice of' Escrima, Filipino martial art that includes both the unarmed combat, the use of weapons such as sticks, knives, machetes etc. ..
After some 'years Master Sifu Rene and Mauro will meet again clutching a strong friendship that lasts to this day.

At the time, working with his instructor (Andrea Vismara) for the management, as assistant to the class in Savona. In May 2006 he received (just by Sifu Emin Boztepe) appointment as instructor of Wing Chun Kung Fu, opening the first course in this discipline in the town of Loanhead (Sv).

In 2007, Sifu Mauro, in search of a different quality of teaching Kung Fu, leave this great organization, resigning his resignation to his Sifu, and starting to create the project Martial Arts Center, or an independent school, with the sole purpose to learn and teach Wing Chun Kung Fu, as well as possible.
And 'right at the end of 2007 that Mauro knows Sifu Sifu Michael Fries, one of the pioneers of Wing Chun Kung Fu in Europe (the second oldest practitioner of this discipline). The work undertaken with this Master makes it immediately enthusiastic, so much involved in this project even his friend and colleague Gianluca Just (You-From his "little brother") by Sifu Fries to accept as his student.

Sifu Fries With the cadence of the lessons is monthly and lasts until the end of 2008, Sifu Mauro by accumulating over 350 hours of private lessons with the Master. In collaboration with Fries Sifu, Sifu Ken has also the opportunity lavorara with Sifu Nunzio Nastasi of Gela (Sicily), with which it is many hours of private lessons, as well as various seminars and Summercamp.

The search for a teacher with whom to have a studio anchors frequently, it does arrive in September 2008 in the school of Sifu Franco Giannone (formerly a direct student of Sifu Sergio Iadarola).
With Sifu Giannone, the plan of study lasts for one year, with frequencies very intense in his school of Novara, up to more than 300 hours of private lessons, studying with him unarmed system of Leung Ting.

During a trip to China in August of 2009, Sifu Sifu Sergio Iadarola meets Mauro (one of the leading world both technically and in terms of research of Kung Fu), and trains with him for a day. Expressing the desire to become his direct disciple, the Master refuses the request, but Sifu Mauro invites you to visit his school in the Netherlands (Amsterdam).

Just returned to Italy from China, Sifu Mauro went to Holland and spent a week in the company of the Master, training on various topics. At the end of this journey is with great joy that he discovers that he has become his pupil directly, thus squeezing a major partnership with its school IWKA (International Kung Fu Association Wing Tjun).

From that moment on every point of ideological reference is literally "blown away" by Sifu Sergio Iadarola, discovering the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu of other families (in addition to Leung Ting) and leaps back into history, discovering ancient forms and exercises dating back to Shaolin Temple South (where this Art is born). In this period, during his travels to Hong Kong, has also an opportunity to take private lessons with Sifu Wan Kam Leung, with whom there was an excellent value.

The passion for Kung Fu is closer (in the course of these years) Sifu Mauro also to Eastern philosophy, the Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qi Kung, disciplines that continues to study and practice.

In early 2011, with his friend Sifu Nicholas Colonnata, start a new project to revitalize the IWKA in Italy.
In the spring of 2011 Sifu Sifu Nicholas Mauro and are instructed by Sifu Sergio Iadarola to promote, teach and spread the Wing Chun of IWKA in Italy, making it "National Chief Instructor".
