Still trains at Ving Tsun School in Münster with his friend Eric Sandner. Started out in 1997 with WT but changed the lineage after about three months. Trained half a year at a Ving Tsun School of a former student of Philipp Bayer and then started his training at the Ving Tsun School of Philipp Bayer in Menden. Received intensive training through the years 2001-2003 and attended Menorca seminars with Philipp Bayer regularly from 2001-2006. He still attends Philipp Bayer Seminars in Münster and keeps training on a regular basis.
