Sum Num Wing Chun Kuen (Cen Neng Yongchunquan) was founded by Sum Num in the city of Guangzhou and is sometimes referred to as Guangzhou Wing Chun Kuen (Guangzhou Yongchunquan). Sum Num learned first from Cheung Bo, who later introduced him to continue under Yuen Kay Shan. He brought the system to Guangzhou in the 1940s. In 1956, he named his art Yuen Kay Shan Wing Chun Kuen (Ruan Qishan Yongchunquan), in honor of his teacher. In 1999, the system became known as Sum Num Wing Chun Kuen.
