Master Paul Elston began training in Wing Chun aged 13 associated with Master J. Cheung, then joined Victor Kan aged 17 in 1977 until 1985 when he began training under William and David Cheung in Australia.

Master Paul Elston first began training in Wing Chun aged 13, in a school associated with Master J. Cheung, when aged 17 Paul moved to London and began studying under Grand Master Victor Kan 1st generation to the late Ip Man, Paul trained by privately for the following 8 years as both class and private before moving over seas to train full time under Grand Master William Cheung 1st generation to Ip Man and teacher to Bruce Lee, Paul trained both privately and class and became a favored student under W. Cheung and was his first fully qualified instructor to teach in Europe.While in Australia Paul also trained with Si Fu David Cheung who was William Cheungs full time instructor and previously David had trained under Wong Shun Leung for a period of 10 years.
